AS-Motor engineers high grass and mulching mowers for professional operators and private customers alike. Our mowers are known for their exceptional quality and performance in extreme conditions, such as inclines reaching 35 degrees and in high grass and dense scrub.

AS-Motor ride-on mowers – stronger than any lawn tractor

Lawn tractors are not designed to mow meadows, and certainly not dense growth. Clogged mower decks, smoking belts and bent blades are often the result.

Thus AS-Motor created the ride-on Allmäher which combines the comfort and the work rate of a lawn tractor with the cutting force and all-terrain mobility of AS-Motor’s well-known Allmäher. Essential design features include a stable blade system, drive gear ratios, a low centre of gravity and drive and cooling systems which ensure endurance and performance.

AS-Motor offers 9 different models depending on the operator’s needs. 2WD models are the right choice for agility and high work rates on level terrain, while the permanent all-wheel drive of the AS 940 Sherpa make it the preferred tool of landscape gardeners, municipalities and service providers on steep slopes and difficult terrain.

Although the ride-on mowers from AS-Motor are designed for meadows, high grass and rough terrain, they deliver excellent cutting results on lawns when equipped with a mulch kit.

AS Motor 915 Sherpa
£11,599.00

AS Motor 915 Sherpa

RRP: £11,695

Entry into the Sherpa family: Ergonomic workstation meets agile ride-on mower

Take your place in the Sherpa class. Surfing mower deck, cross-blade system, perimeter tubular frame and one-hand lever operation are advantages of our AS 915 Sherpa 2WD. The all-rounder for ambitious private users or professional use.

The AS 915 Sherpa 2WD is powered by a professional Loncin two-cylinder engine. With its 708 cm³, the engine produces 21.2 hp and is also equipped with an oil and fuel pump. Variable traction drive occurs via hydrostatic transmission. Forward speeds from 0-10.5 km/h and reverse speeds from 0-8.2 km/h can be selected via one-hand operation. Another advantage: a mechanical parking brake is integrated in the drive lever. The limited slip differential can be engaged at any time for additional traction.

Equipped with a cross-blade system and a closed mower deck the AS 915 2WD Sherpa reliably chops growth up to 1.2 m high. Surfing suspension allows the mower deck to adapt to uneven soil and thus protects blades and turf, when driving over a hilltop for example. Cutting height is adjusted centrally in levels ranging from 50-105 mm.

A deep sitting position gives the operator the feeling of sitting in, rather than on, the machine. This position protects the user from undergrowth, for example. The bucket seat is adjustable in length which, combined with plenty of legroom, provides space for operators up to 1.9 m tall. A spring seat package is available for even greater comfort. All operating elements are arranged logically and can be easily reached.

Product Advantages:

Surfing mulch-mower deck

Closed mower deck with AS cross-blade system. The main blade cuts, the cross-blade chops the cuttings. The surfing mower deck gives way upward on uneven terrain to protect against damage.

Excellent driving comfort through an ergonomic sitting position (AS 915)

The length-adjustable driver seat and the ergonomic sitting position enable comfortable work over a longer period of time, even for large persons.

Small turning radius, high work rate

The turning radius of just 60 cm provides agility even on difficult terrain.

Stable tube frame

High stability and torsional rigidity with heavy load.

Terrain with moderate inclines

AS Motor 920 Sherpa
from £12,599.00

AS Motor 915 Sherpa

RRP: £12,695 Loncin 21 PS

RRP: £13,895 B&S 27 PS

Fast and agile ride-on mower with limited slip differential for moderate inclines

The AS 920 Sherpa 2WD boasts work rates reaching 9,450 m² per hour, thanks to its 90 cm cutting width and choice of either a high-power Loncin 2-cylinder engine with 708 cc displacement and up to maximum of 21,7 hp, or Briggs & Stratton 2-cylinder engine with 724 cc displacement and up to 27 hp. The closed, surfing mower deck gives way upward which protects both the blade and the turf, as the blade will not come into contact with the ground. Moreover, the shape of the mower deck allows flush, close-to-the-edge mowing. The AS 920 Sherpa 2WD has a turning radius of just 65 cm.

The AS 920 Sherpa 2WD’s cross-blade system delivers impressive mulching results in grass and dense growth up to 1.5 meters high. Bearing-supported blades cut the grass while a mulching blade positioned above them shreds the cuttings, which are then deposited between the wheels for added safety on slopes and wet grass. Cutting heights can be adjusted to 5 levels from 35–135 cm with an optional mulch kit available for even finer mulching results.

Hydrostatic transmission allows the precise adaptation of speed to match the terrain, reaching 10.5 km/h and 8.2 km/h in reverse. Just one lever controls the drive, brake and parking functions for easy operation, while limited slip differential can be activated for excellent propulsion and traction when needed.

With a highly stable tubular frame, the AS 920 Sherpa 2WD performs even under harsh conditions. Operators up to 1.9 m tall can operate the machine comfortably thanks to a length-adjustable seat and seat spring package. A low centre of gravity, folding bar and branch deflectors are added safety features, while lashing points integrated in the frame enable secure transport.

Two separate ventilation circuits for the engine and hydrostatic transmission prevent overheating: the engine takes in air from above and discharges it to the side, while the hydrostatic transmission takes air from the rear and discharges it downward. This system ensures a long service life.

The all-wheel drive ride-on mowers from AS Motor in a new design…

The 2025 all-wheel drive models of the AS Motor 940 Sherpa family will appear in new splendour in the future. With new paintwork, an additional front panel and the newly designed decals, the Sherpa’s are even more attractive. But the 2025 model year of the AS 4WD Sherpa family also offers some technical innovations.

The new ATV tyres on the AS 940 Sherpa XL and the remote-controlled ride-on mower AS 940 Sherpa RC feature even better performance when driving across slopes and better climbing ability. In future, all AS Motor 4WD Sherpa models will be equipped with the AS tyre sealant Plattfuss-Stop as standard – downtimes due to flat tyres will be a thing of the past. The new fuel tank of the Sherpas offers more volume (17 litres), a larger tank opening, a fuel level indicator and a closed circuit with less fuel evaporation. The new locking mechanism of the foldable bar ensures easier handling and improved freedom of movement when operating the driving lever. In future, the protective cloth between the engine and the seat will no longer be elaborately riveted, but locked in place by robust magnets. Accessibility to the engine, for example when adjusting the valves or changing the oil, is significantly improved. This was an idea from AS-Motor users and dealers. Many thanks for this practical improvement idea.
